Leonarduzzi 1st Place at NW Cup #3!
Congratulations to deity Fresh Blood rider Anthony Leonarduzzi who was at the top of the podium at the third round of the NW Cup! Here is an update from him:
"Last round at Port Angeles WA for the NWCUP. Knowing it was going to be the last round and giving the course selection I knew I had a good shot at taking the win. Friday practice was pretty awesome. Met up with Jill Kintner for a few runs and she gave me the down low on a few lines.
Saturday came around just toward the end of practice and my fork decided to have some issues. Luckily I had a few people that knew how to help me out. So I took a few more laps to get used to the new oil level. Then sunday rolls around with nervous feelings. Managed to find a spinner before my run to warm up the legs. Before you knew it I was on the bus being dropped off and next thing you know im at the start gate waiting to hear 5, 4 ,3, 2, 1 GO! I had a few mistakes in my run but overall I cannot complain."
Team Voncooper Update: ProGRT
This past weekend was the first found of the Eastern States Cup at the new and revived Mountain Creek Bike Park. In both Cat 1 and the Pro class we had over 30 of the fastest guys in the nation to race. This race was really going to show all of us if our winter training is going to pay off... and it did in a big way!
Tim had a crash in his run but felt fast and confident for next weekend, he finished 32nd.
Dylan has been working really hard on fitness, with this being his first season as a pro he is just trying to settle in and feel like a pro. He had a big crash in practice and was not able to get as many practice runs in has he wanted, Dylan ended up in 21st. All things considered that is a great result.
Gavin is still getting up to speed after a broken hand from last season. His confidence is really starting to get there. With a run he felt he could improve on he finished 5th! And then we have Phil.
Phil let is really hang out there for his race run and made a few major mistakes, you will see this in the video, but he kept it rubber side down and smashed his way into a 3rd not far off the likes of Justin Leov and Aaron Gwin.
Willem races Cat 1 19-29. His run had a few spots where he knew he could make up some time, but still finished 5th in a class of over 30. All in all, it was a great weekend for the team and we are all really exited to race Plattekill next weekend.
Final Results from the Mountain Creek ESC1, Pro GRT:
Pro
Phil 3rd
Gavin 5th
Dylan 21st
Tim 32nd
Cat 1 19-29
Willem 5th

Lars Tribus Back From Knee Surgery...
Knee surgeries seem to be a common theme around our camp and we are just happy to hear that deity's Lars Tribus has bounced back from his surgery and was spotted at the ProGRT #2 this weekend. Lars just build up his new Fury and the full kit is insane! Props to Matt DeLorme for the pic!
